Access Keys
Access keys are keyboard shortcuts that you can use in your web browser to quickly go to important parts of our website. How you use the access keys will depend on which web browser you use:
accesskey 1 = Home page
accesskey 2 = News
accesskey 3 = Location
accesskey 4 = Councillors & Officers
accesskey 5 = Council Meetings
accesskey 6 = Agendas
accesskey 7 = The Council Year
accesskey 8 = Accounts
accesskey 9 = Grants
accesskey 0 = Around Hebden Royd
Internet Explorer
1. Hold down the Alt key
2. Press the required access key (see above)
3. Release the access key and press ENTER
Mozilla Firefox
1. Hold down the Alt key
2. Press the required access key (see above)
Netscape Navigator
1. Hold down the Ctrl key
2. Press the required access key (see above)
Opera
1. Hold down the Shift + Esc and release, then press the required access key
If you have a Mac
Follow above instructions but use the Alt key instead.
Altering the font size manually
You can adjust the size of the font to your own requirements. Usually this is done through the 'view' option on your browser, pulling down the menu and selecting 'fonts' and choosing one of the options.
If you are using Internet Explorer:
Go to the view menu
Down to Text size and then choose larger or largest
If you are using Mozilla or FireFox:
Go to the view menu.
Choose Increase text size (You may have to do this a few times to find a size suitable for you)
Or using the keyboard only, hold the Ctrl key down and then press plus (+) or minus(-).
If you are using Netscape navigator:
Go to the view menu
Down to Text size and then choose 120%, 150% or 200%
Or using the keyboard only, hold the Ctrl key down and then press plus (+) or minus(-).
If you are using Opera:
Go to the view menu
Down to Zoom and then choose 120%, 150% or 200%
Or using the keyboard only, press plus (+) or minus(-).
